Capitol Arts Theatre Etiquette
Coordinators, please distribute this
page to all classroom
teachers who are bringing children to the theatre.
Teachers, please discuss this etiquette with your students
before performances.
• No food or drinks are allowed inthe
theatre.
• Gum is not allowed in the theatre.
• Audience members are asked to remove caps/hats during the
performance.
• Bathroom usage during the performance should be kept to a
minimum.
• Avoid disruptive talking and/or gestures.
• Keep feet in front of you and on the floor. Do not put your
feet on the seats in front of you or in the seat in which you
are sitting.
• Audio/video recording and photography are not allowed (an
artists’
requirement).
• Do not throw things.
• Refrain from use of beepers, cell phones, laser pointers,
etc.
• Enjoy the performance!
• If a disturbance in the theatre should occur, the Capitol
Arts Alliance reserves the right to raise the house light levels
to monitor audience behavior. If the disturbance should continue,
the performance may be halted. It is the discretion of the CAA
to put any individual or school group on probation or suspension
from future performances as a result of unacceptable behavior.
